Our approach
Inclusive design is key to embedding inclusivity into culture and creativity.
Our approach to inclusivity is research-based, centered on both people and nature, and powered by Intentional Conversation that elevates under-recognized experiences to foster inclusion for diverse communities.
Originally developed in 2017 by NWA to design community initiatives, our Intentional Conversation methodology was officially adopted in 2025 by the Bureau du design Montreal as part of its Quality Toolkit, serving as an inclusive framework to help the design industry better reflect the people and culture of its city.
